Papandreou announces a gigantic photovoltaic park in Kozani

During his visit to Kozani this Thursday, PM Giorgos Papandreou, accompanied by minister of the Environment Mrs Tina Birbili and PPC president Arthouros Zervos, will announce the construction of one of the largest photovoltaic parks in the world on 6.000 acres in Ptolemaida.

During his visit to Kozani this Thursday, PM Giorgos Papandreou, accompanied by minister of the Environment Mrs Tina Birbili and PPC president Arthouros Zervos, will announce the construction of one of the largest photovoltaic parks in the world on 6.000 acres in Ptolemaida.

PPC will hold 51% of this investment budgeted at 600mil, and the rest will belong to a company that will be selected through a competition.

Meanwhile, Tina Birbili and Arthouros Zervos will have a chance to explain to PPC members and employees, the Greek proposal towards the EC for the release of the lignite market, which provides electricity exchanges with foreign companies, or the selling of newer PPC lignite-powered units, in case the exchange model does not take off.
