Worse weather from today

The weather will change rapidly, with rain all around the country and stronger southern winds in the Aegean from today.

There is a chance of rain for Attica while strong winds will blow in Saronikos and the N. Evia Sea. The temperature will reach 13-14C.  

Strong rainfall is predicted for Thessaloniki.  The temperature will reach 12C and Thermaikos will have northern winds.

In northern Greece, the temperature will be between 4-12, 7-13 in Central and Southern Greece, 8-13 in Western, 13-16 in the Aegean and Crete.

In the Ionian, Epirus, the western mainland and western Peloponnisos there will be cloud with rain and storms. In the Ionian and western Peloponnisos the phenomena will be locally intense. Light snow will fall on the mountains of Epirus and the western mainland. Winds will be at 3-5B and the temperature at 6-16C and 3-4 degrees lower in the north.

In Thessaly, the eastern mainland, Evia and eastern Peloponnisos, there will be cloud with rain. Sporadic storms will occur in eastern Peloponnisos, the eastern mainland and Evia. Winds will be south-southeastern at 4-5B and the temperature will be between 2-14 and in Thessaly 2-3 degrees less.

In Cyclades and Crete there will be cloud, rain and sporadic storms, winds from the northwest at 4-5B and the temperature between 8-16C.

In eastern Aegean and the Dodecanese there will be cloud with local rain, gradually increasing to sporadic storms that will grow heavier in the night. Winds will be at 4-6B and the temperature between 8-15C.

Strong southerly winds will blow in the Aegean, locally almost stormy in Northern and eastern Seas - mild south-southwest windin the Ionian.

Prognosis for Saturday

Overcast skies are expected, with local rain and sporadic storms that in the west, Thrace, eastern Aegean and Dodecanese will be occasionally strong. Snow will fall on the mountains of Epirus, western Macedonia and the western mainland and during the night, in the rest of the mountain region and some areas of low altitude in the northwest. Winds will blow at 4-6 and gradually 7, and locally 8 in the northern Aegean.

Prognosis for Sunday

Local rain and sporadic storms, strong in the morning but gradually decreasing, in the west, eastern Macedonia, Thrace, eastern Aegean and the Dodecanese. There will be snow on the mountains and parts of the northern lowlands. Winds will be at 4-6B locally, 7 in the open seas, and the temperature will drop.
