«We are not moving to restructuring. We have a clear map ahead and hope to get back to the markets even within this year» stressed PM Giorgos Papandreou during the panel talk at the World Finance Forum in Davos, discarding anew the possibility of bankruptcy or debt restructuring.

«Last year they were saying that the Greek statistical data is the shortest anecdote but now we are one of the most transparent EU members». He also mentioned the reforms promoted by the government, such as the opening up of professions and also transparency which, as he supported, «has been significantly strengthened».

Talking to the same panel, the director of the European Central Bank (ECB) Jean-Claude Trichet said that the restructuring or trimming of the indebted countries in the Eurozone is not on the agenda. «There is no crisis of the single currency. This is absolutely clear» he added.
