With a goal by Djebour Olympiakos won the great derby and secured the championship, 6 games before the end of the championship! The complaints from the “greens” are many due to the wrongly canceled goal of Katsouranis at 82' while the score was 1-1 and a penalty (Torosidis) at the end of the first half.
It was a real derby with many powerful duels and a few good instances with Olympiacos players seizing opportunities and ensuring the big win that equals the title. In the first half the game was equal, with Olympiacos taking the lead with a goal by Miralas without many other significant opportunities. Panathinaicos players raised their performance sharply in the second half, equalized with Leto (in a phase where Pardo was surprised and certainly bears responsibility for), then kept on pressing, scored a goal at 82' which was wrongly canceled, and left defeated with their hopes for a comeback consigned to the realm of wishful thinking...
it's worth noting that after the final whistle many Olympiacos fans entered the pitch to celebrate. Some of the intruders embraced the reds but some others preferred to attack the players of Panathinaikos. And it took the intervention of MAT teams to quite things down...
Scorers: 20' Miralas, 90+2' Djebour – 58' Leto
Referee: Kalopoulos (Macedonia)
Yellow cards: 20' Miralas, 90+5' Modesto – 90+5' Leto
Red cards: 90+5' Torosidis
Olympiacos: Pardo, Bravo, Melberg, Avraam Papadopoulos, Torosidis, Modesto, Ibagasa, Riera (90+1' Pandelic), Miralas (79' Zairi), Fouster (61' Dudu), Djebour
