The political dissenter MPs who are preparing a letter addressed to the premier are now in a meeting with PM’s general secretary Regina Vartzeli. Mrs Vartzeli participates in order for some of their requests, such as the immediate and out-of-the agenda meeting of the PASOK PG, to be met. The MPs suggest that if the PG comes together, then there is no need for the letter to be sent.
Around 20 PASOK MPs are preparing the letter in question, through which they will be asking the premier for analytical update on the mid-term programme but also extra clarifications on financial issues.
Among others, they are requesting, “not to be called again to urgently vote for a new memorandum when the first one has already proved unsuccessful”.
Meanwhile, it is being said that in case the memorandum finally reaches parliament without prior discussion and consultation, they are determined not to vote for it, since this will prove that certain things have not been altered.
According to sources, among the MPs are P. Kouroublis, E. Kaili, A. Mereniti and S. Giannaka.
