Vrettos shakes PASOK internally

A new bomb has been dropped in the core of the Parliamentary team of PASOK, this time by Mr.Dinos Vrettos, who was elected in the region of Attica. He asked the government to resign and replace all Ministers, especially the Minister of Finance, as well as re-negotiate the terms of the Memorandum.

His statement reads:

"The intense consultations of the PASOK MP group need to conclude in something more essential and hopeful than some minor changes in the Mid-term plan that we have come up with so far. For this reason i am suggesting: The resignation of members of the government and the replacement of Ministers in critical ministries, primarily the Finance Ministry. The new Ministers should be outside PASOK, and of a certain status and general public consensus. The new government should be the one to accept the terms of the Mid-term plan which will be incumbent upon the Greek Parliament, first as to the re-negotiation of the horrible loan terms from the EU and IMF, but also for the delegation of the previous Greek loans to the EU.

It is also imperative that the new government commit to having a new program in order to exit the crisis that will go beyond the Mid-term plan and the Troika. If we leave the changes for after the Mid-term, we will enter a phase of pressures within and outside of PASOK that will lead to another meaningless or forced new governmental composition, or even elections that might create even greater dead ends".

Please note that yesterday the PASOK Committee received the resignation of the Florina MP Mr.Lianis, and Kozani MP Mr.Athanasiadis declared he won't vote for the Mid-term plan. In the PASOK National Council thre was also one resignation, that of Mr.Kotsakas.
