After the ratification of the mid-term, ND is preparing to vote against the implementation law on Thursday.

Party president Antonis Samaras has already said he will vote in favor of the mid-term’s provisions that are in accordance with his proposals.

ND agrees with the utilisation of 50bil euros' worth of public property for the decrease of the public debt, as well as with a series of privatizations of public utilities. Within this framework, they will recommend a few people to join the board of the Fund for the Development of State Public Property, which will have the task of managing the assets to be decided upon by the Interministerial Commission.

Samaras has stated he will not vote in favor of OPAP’s privatization and that he disagrees with the governmental procedure regarding PPC, even if these are specialized through specific bills.

However, he is expected to toughen his criticism both against governmental policies and the PM, who first launched a personal attack on Wednesday, and ND is expected to follow the same party directive without differentiations.

The voting on the mid-term resulted in the rmoval of Elsa Papadimitriou from the party P.G. and her subsequent independence. The ND secretary Kostas Tasoulas announced that Ms Papadimitriou “removed herself”. Her removalwas expected due to her political relationship with Dora Bakogianni.
