Mother hits son with car and kills him

A 2-year-old boy was severely injured by his mother’s car when the woman using the reverse speed hit him without having realised he was somewhere behind the car.

The boy died on Friday in hospital, where he had spent the past three days. Doctors did all they could to save his life but the child did not make it.

The mother was about to drive her twin boys over to the hospital to get them vaccinated. After she put one of them inside the car, it is said that due to the tight parking space she could not use one of the back doors. She thus left the other child outside the vehicle so as to move it a bit and thus be able to open the blocked door in order to put her other son inside, too. In trying to do so, she did not check her rear mirrors and hit her son.

The family, and in particular the mother, are in great anguish.
