Victory is close, says Samaras

Victory is very close said Antonis Samaras, leader of opposition party ND, and attacked the government accusing it of blackmailing the citizens and leading the country into the gutter.

Addressing the youth of his party, he said “A year ago they said Memorandum or Bankruptcy and now the Memorandum has failed and there was a new blackmail, Mid Term plan or Bankruptcy, and we have warned them that the Mid Term plan will make matters worse. And now they are already contemplating selective bankruptcy and partly halting payments.

He finished his speech saying that this is a government pushing its policies through blackmail which is leading the country to disaster, whereas ND can lead the country to a prosperous future.

The acidic debate with Mr Venizelos and ND is continuing. Today the leaks from Nea Dimokratia said Mr.Venizelos spoke with Mr.Samaras without talking about “selective default”. The insults through press releases continued from both sides today.
