Taxi drivers are roaming at toll stations, seaports and airports

Taxi owners appear unwilling to back down, continuing their strike on Thursday too, opposing Ragousis’ decision to deregulate their profession.

Speaking on the Mega newscast on Wednesday night, SATA chairman Thimios Lymberopoulos attacked transport minister Giannis Ragousis, even thanking PASOK MPs who are expressing objections to the decisions of the minister, such as Dimitris Papoutsis and Maria Skrafnaki.

Government spokesman Ilias Mossialos invited taxi owners to consider the effects of their protests on the economy, and the New Democracy part asked them to adopt a responsible stance concerning the deregulation of their profession.
