Four Iraqi traffickers arrested on the borders in northern Greece

A special immigration unit based in Alexandroupolis, Northern Greece, reported on Wednesday the arrest of four Iraqi immigrant traffickers.  They had been transporting 19 illegal migrants into Greece, 14 of whom were Iraqis, four Iranians and one Palestinian.

 

A special immigration unit based in Alexandroupolis, Northern Greece, reported on Wednesday the arrest of four Iraqi immigrant traffickers.  They had been transporting 19 illegal migrants into Greece, 14 of whom were Iraqis, four Iranians and one Palestinian.

All of them were arrested on Tuesday afternoon in a rural region near Alexandroupolis following a surveillance operation targeting the four traffickers.

The police also confiscated two vehicles driven by the traffickers that were later found to have been reported stolen in Attica and the port city of Patras.
