The Athens antiterrorism squad is investigating the case of a man in his mid-thirties who surrendered to the police saying he was a member of the terrorist group “Revolutionary Struggle”. A court of appeals magistrate had already issued an arrest warrant against him, but police authorities had been unable to track him down.

His name is Costas Katsenos and he had been working at the National Printing Office, quite ironically only blocks away from the main Athens building of the General Police Offices, in the area of Ampelokipoi.

Police sources say that in a few days, all detainees who are allegedly members of the group will most probably be set free, while their trial will begin soon after.

It is said that perhaps his house was to be used as the “headquarters” of the organization for a future terrorist attack against the General Police Department, which is very close to the place in question as mentioned above.
