Deregulation is of the utmost urgency!

During the meeting between Yiannis Ragousis and the Troika team, the discussion moved along the lines of a regulation for opening up the professions of taxi and truck drivers and the process of restructuring OSE, TRAINOSE and OASA.

As for taxis, the Troika officials described the issue as one of absolute priority in order to move ahead with the bill for a complete deregulation of the profession of taxi and truck drivers as soon as possible.

After the meeting, Infrastructure Minister Yiannis Ragousis stated that “since we took on the political obligation to get our country out of the crisis by reducing the incomes of millions of Greeks, it is our moral duty to not succumb to demands to retain corporatist privileges of another era”.

The meeting of the Infrastructure Minister Yiannis Ragousis with members of the Troika, inside the former Ministry of the Environment building on Harilaou Trikoupi street, finished at noon after the blockade of the other building in Holargos by a group of employees.
