Doubts have arisen about whether Mr. Antonis Samaras will commit in writing on the October 26th Agreement.
In an official statement, the chairman of the ND party clarifies:
“There is national dignity. I have from time to time repeatedly explained why, in order to protect the Greek economy and the euro, the decisions of October 26th have become inevitable”.
“These statements, I cannot allow anyone to doubt” Partners of his stated that “Mr. Samaras’ word when he takes on a commitment is not up for doubting in any way”.
Note that this morning, protothema.gr conveyed that ND will not be easy to persuade in terms of accepting the new pressures by European partners to providing a written commitment from parties in order to implement the October 27th Agreement.
According to information from the European Commission, Mr. Olli Rehn’s reaction was immediate: “If we do not have the requested signatures, Greece will not get the sixth tranche”.

As is known, the IMF has not gone further in the disbursement of the 3 billion allocated in the sixth tranche, since it sees the implementation of the Summit’s decisions as a prerequisite.
