As protothema.gr has been informed, according to data available to Visa, an international gang has stolen many card (debit or credit) PINs, which they then use either to withdraw money or make purchases.

Consequently, banks have cancelled over 50000 cards so far. Simultaneously, they are notifying their clients of these actions, inviting them to get new cards issued.

Data theft attempts are common in all countries of the world.

They are usually carried out by sending an email referring to the blocking of cards and the need for new information from the owners who, however, have now become suspicious.
