Bad weather across the country

Localized occasional showers and snowfall will occur across the country on Wednesday, January 25th, 2012. The phenomena in the north and west of the Aegean islands and the Dodecanese will be intense. Temperatures will drop.

Attica

Weather: overcast, locally increased. Showers in the afternoon. Snows in the north.

Winds: westerly 3 – 4B.

Temperature: 5 – 14C.  

Thessaloniki

Weather: overcast, with local rainfall in the afternoon.

Winds: northern-northwestern 5-6B.

Temperature: 0 – 6C.

Macedonia and Thrace

Weather: overcast with rain, especially in the east. Snowfall on the plains of Macedonia.

Winds: variable 3B, transiently increased to northerly 4-6B.

Temperature: 0 – 7C, 6 lower in western Macedonia.

Ionian, Epirus, the western mainland and western Peloponnisos

Weather: rainfall, sporadic storms and snowfall on the mountains of Epirus and the western mainland.

Winds: southern-northwestern 4 – 6B.

Temperature: 5 – 14C, 4-5C lower in Epirus.

Thessaly, the eastern mainland, Evia and eastern Peloponnisos

Weather: rainfall and sporadic storms

Winds: variable 3 – 4B.

Temperature: 0 – 15C.

Cyclades and Crete

Weather: local rainfall and storms.

Winds: southern-southwestern 4 – 6B.

Temperature: 9 – 16C.

Dodecanese and eastern Aegean
