"The goverment should resign and we should have elections in February"

The governement should resign and elections should be immediate, demands the leader of the SYRIZA left-wing party, Mr.Tsipras, in his statement today, commenting on Mrs Merkel's request for a committee to watch Greece and the new Troika proposals.

Mr. Tsipras declares that the demands of the Troika in order for the PSI to be completed are beyond any kind of logic since, as he states, there are no new measures but a plan to loot Greece, allow full disclosure and and turn over control to banks and international loansharks, since it is now proven that the debt cannot be covered.

The head of SYRIZA also states that "the three political leaders and the PM, who have been chosen in order for the previous government not to get dragged into the gutter, have no legal right to sign for the condemnation of this country in the name of the Greek people. The only choice for anyone with a conscience is to resign and to hand over the decision making to the people in February".

Any other choice will be a crime against the people of Greece and damage this country further, says Mr.Tsipras.
