Their decision not to vote for the new memorandum was announced by PASOK MPs Christos Magkoufis, Yiannis Michelogiannakis and Tsetin Mandazi.

A similar announcement was made by independent MP Milena Apostolakis, who stated she would vote against the new loan agreement in the upcoming vote during the plenary House meeting on Sunday.

Earlier, during his announcement, PASOK MP in Arta P. Stasinos announced his resignation, opposing the new measures. However, his position was filled by the prefecture alternate, Christos Gokas.

In a letter, Tsetin Mantazi states: “The moral and political logic suggest that the road we follow is leading nowhere. It burdens citizens and especially the most vulnerable and young people with the long-term failure of the political system in implementing meaningful reform policies on time.

The critical historical moments require us to rise to the occasion. My moral and political integrity do not allow me to vote for the new memorandum, a product of the failure of the political system.

My democratic beliefs do not allow me to operate against the will of my fellow citizens and the popular mandate I received.

My decision will be judged by the people of Xanthi and history itself”.

Mr. Michelogiannakis indicated that he will not follow the party line, nor will he avoid the “Battle”, submitting his resignation.
