The headquarters of the Police released photos and descriptions of the seventy-seven antiquities that were removed last Friday morning from the showcases of the Olympic Games History Museum in Ancient Olympia.

Among the stolen objects is the main goal of the thieves, a golden seal ring from the 16th century BC, of priceless archaeological value. The ring belonged to a ruler of Antheia and is dated around 1580-1400 BC.

The fact that the authorities' investigations are at a crossroads, as the days pass and the trail of the robbers is not detected, has virtually forced police to once again turn to the citizens for help.

Therefore people who know anything about the theft may contact the following telephone numbers and addresses:

-    no 11012 of the Economic Police & Electronic Crime Department, which operates on a 24hr basis
-    no 210 647 6188 of the Department of Cultural Heritage Protection of the Police Directorate of Attica, which operates from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. daily.
