Singing amidst “flying” chairs for Dalaras

The image of George Dalaras singing and some of the viewers of the show hurling bottles of water is disturbing. What happened in yesterday's solidarity concert by the famous singer in Ilion, is unprecedented. While he was singing, some chose to call him a "traitor" and a "Nazi collaborator." Maybe they were the same that threw a chair on stage, bottles of water, coffee and yoghurt.

Meanwhile, most of the viewers in the free concert applauded and encouraged the artist to continue…

“I wish you well. You are welcome at our events, both you that like my songs and you that don’t. I'm here because I want to be and because I believe that actions are better than words", said the singer.

The debate on the Internet has ignited for good. Was this bullying by some unknown people "justified"? Did Dalaras have to become the victim of the "just" rage of a minority? Why exactly did some people call the singer a "traitor" and a "Nazi collaborator"? What should be the reaction in the face of yoghurt throwing against an artist, even if we do not agree with him, or his artistic work does not express our own views?

The video from George Dalaras' concert in Ilion is both enlightening and embarrassing. How can we remain indifferent in front of such unprecedented phenomena, fascist behavior and attempts to silence an artist?
