"Celebrations are shameless and a direct challenge"

The “celebrations” for the successful outcome of the PSI were a “challenge” and “shameless” according to Secretary of the Communist Party Aleka Papariga, thanks to which, as she said, “a new looting will begin from June onwards”.

“It is a challenge and shameless to see Mr. Venizelos applaud and celebrate with Mr. Papademos and the rest of them”, stated Mrs. Papariga, and argued that “the development which exists is above all an effort to allow the banks to profit even more and the creditors to grab as much as they can, to empty the people’s pockets”.

They “have been undermining the rights of the Greek people for 30 years now and due to this new PSI, there will be an even newer looting beginning from June onwards”.

“Bu we are confident that the Greek people will not only not wait for 30 years to throw them out, but will also create the conditions to overthrow this barbaric policy”.
