Eurogroup to approve immediate disbursement of 5 bil euros

Today’s Eurogroup is yet another crucial meeting for the fate of our country.

After Friday’s teleconference, where Eurozone finance ministers essentially gave the OK to activate the CACs in the PSI+, they are expected to proceed today to the final validation of the decision to disburse the first tranche of the 5 billion euros from the new support package of our country.

It is also expected that there will be indications as to the final contribution to the new IMF loan program, with European leaders being optimistic after the statements of the Fund's general manager Christine Lagarde that she will recommend the total disbursement of 29 billion euros for Greece within four years.

The IMF will make the final decisions about the extent of its participation in the new Greek bailout on March 15 at the executive board meeting.

Α few hours earlier, on Tuesday 14, the Euro Working Group will meet to validate the timetable of tranches to Greece from the new loan program of 130 billion euros.
