Louka is positively inclined towards SYRIZA or Democratic Left collaboration

Social Agreement president Lοuka Katseli unleashed a harsh new attack against PASOK, accusing the party of embracing neo-liberal policies, and left a possibility open for cooperation with the Democratic Left or SYRIZA.

Speaking on NET, Katseli said that PASOK "serves the interests of certain social groups, things that I cannot accept" and referred to the reduction of lower wages, saying that "the conflict was not with the bureaucrats in Brussels, but with certain interests within the country, such as businessmen and bankers." She criticized this tactic, saying it will sink the country, and stood on the side of social service and the public interest.

Referring to the political field and relationships with other parties, Katseli expressed the intention of Social Agreement for cooperation on the basis of programmatic convergence, and hinted that she could hold discussions with SYRIZA and the Democratic Left. She noted however that there are variations, but implied that there is a dynamic as well.

"Until recently SYRIZA had said no to everything, but they are now making some specific proposals. Kouvelis says the country's commitments should be maintained. We say that the commitments were wrong and we must do everything we can to change them."
