Lamb on the spit under cloudy and rainy skies

In one hand will be the spit, in the other the umbrella for those wishing to follow the day’s tradition, as the rainy setting is going to be the main picture of the day, says the Hellenic Meteorological Agency EMY.
 
Especially in the west the weather is expected to be very unstable and will also affect the mountainous regions of Macedonia, Thessaly and the eastern mainland, where local showers will occur later in the day.

The temperature in Northern Greece will be 9-21C, in the west 11-18C, in central parts 12-21C and in the rest of the mainland 13-22C. The Aegean islands and Crete will enjoy a somewhat warmer wave of 15-23C.

Winds will blow heavily in most seas, only to die down in the night hours.
 
Attica will be mainly sunny but patchy clouds are not going to leave the skies, and the temperature will reach 21-22C. Medium winds in the Saronic and South Evoikos Gulfs will blow from the southwest.

Thessaloniki will present a similar picture, but rain will be more of a possibility for the day. The temperature is not expected to top 21C.
 

Nevertheless, Greeks returning to the capital on Easter Monday will not be disappointed by the weather, as it will be on their side on their way back, since plenty of sunshine will be the main characteristic across the country. The unfortunate region will be the Aegean islands, with overcast skies and local showers.

Easter Tuesday will present a more or less similar picture, with unchanged temperature and mild winds. Rain and storms will be the guests of western, central and northern parts of Greece, as well as of the eastern Aegean islands.
