Dimitris Mitropanos has passed away

The news of the death of Dimitri Mitropanos has shocked Greece. The famous singer was hospitalized at the private hospital "Hygeia". He suddenly passed away on Tuesday morning, aged 64.

"The patient Dimitris Mitropanos was brought to Hygeia hospital this morning due to acute diarrhea and vomiting. Then he suddenly presented dyspnea and was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit, where was treated for acute pulmonary edema, due to which he passed away at 11 am", reads the statement of "Hygeia" hospital on the death of the popular artist.

In May 2008, Dimitris Mitropanos underwent a kidney transplant in Paris.
