“Tsipras is asking me to accept an exit from the euro”

ND president Antonis Samaras was significantly critical in his statements about Alexis Tsipras after their meeting.

 

"Tsipras is asking me to accept the country’s exit from the euro and its default," he said, adding that that the SYRIZA president’s tactics and his requests are isolating the country from everyone else.

 

He also said that he will not take back the signature with which he committed to our partners and that the Greek people have voted for the European prospects of the country and towards a change of policy that has been followed in the last two and a half years.

 

ND insists on demonstrating the absence of a European prospect in the SYRIZA proposal, and PASOK also deems the establishment of an ecumenical government that will "freeze" anything around the memorandum as catastrophic.
