This meeting scheme, especially its second part, was decided after disagreements on the part of KKE about holding a meeting with the President in the presence of the Golden Dawn representative.
Earlier on Sunday morning, the DIMAR president was invited on Mega channel, where he expressed his pessimism regarding the formation of a government.
According to thr latest information, Papoulias will seek a solution on the axes proposed by SYRIZA, thus focusing on re-negotiating the Memorandum and the abolishment of the harsh measures connected to pensions, wages and work contracts.
SYRIZA: The three of you can move on and form a government; the numbers allow you to do so
SYRIZA currently announced that based on the actual numbers, ND, PASOK and DIMAR are eligible to form a government if they want to, without them. Party representatives said they would not agree to a memorandum-led scheme.

The Papoulias-Venizelos meeting
During a short meeting between the President of the Republic, Karolos Papoulias, and PASOK head Evangelos Venizelos, the latter explained his mandate was inconclusive but the former said there are “slivers of hope”.
No official comments were made to the press, but Papoulias spoke of major challenges on the way, beginning with this Sunday’s Ecofin meeting (Spanish banks will top the agenda) and moving on to the next EU Summit, as well as the NATO one.
The two men spoke about the governance void in Greece while, according to information, Papoulias will hold private meetings with the political leaders in order to look for fertile ground among them. This could allow them all to participate in a council meeting, most probably on Sunday, with its subject being the country’s still undecided leading scheme.
What is more, the two men spoke about the 435-million euro bond that expires on May 15 and about which there are still discussions going on, concerning the extension of its repayment.
