“Mr. Samaras is a frightened man”, stated Alexis Tsipras in the Perama shipyard zone, while ND is trying to further polarize the political scene with new commercials that attempt to deconstruct the SYRIZA program.
Mr. Tsipras argued that the ND leader “is investing in fear” and added that “he puts out TV spots with young children and is not ashamed to have young children attending school and fainting from hunger, malnutrition, and now he exploits them”.
Regarding the nationalization program that SYRIZA aims to implement, he spoke of creating a single entity under public scrutiny, which will include all the shipyards in the country and the PPA. In particular, he said that “the single entity will work with agencies and unions, local government and of course with the PPA, which will remain under public control”. But he explained that “money does not exist” because the public coffers are empty, and thus “in phases, depending on how the economy goes, we will try to regain public control of strategic sectors of the economy”.
In addition, he stressed that “The image of the Perama buffer zone is the image of all of Greece: a wreck, people begging for a daily wage”. He noted that the choice citizens have is “SYRIZA or social disaster” and said: “Chaos comes from June 18th, if Samaras and Venizelos continue governing the place, giving power to the Troika and the bankers, to these people to whom they have given billions all these years, to the big capital which will continue with its 'promiscuity' ”.
As the SYRIZA head stated, the choice is clear: “We either leave the Memorandum behind and even if we disagree on many things, reinforce SYRIZA, which is the only pole that can cancel the Memorandum, or we indulge those who have implemented these policies and wish to continue down the same path.
