n his statement, Independent Greeks president Panos Kammenos expressed his intention to raise the issue of an inquiry committee to investigate the conditions under which Greece entered the memorandum and the elimination of Ragousis’ law on immigrants.
"We will discuss for the establishment of an inquiry committee for the memorandum and how we got there. Who altered the statistics, as well as how Papaconstantinou and the prime minister allowed the selling of the the Hellenic Postbank CDS," Kammenos said, speaking on a radio station.
As he said, his party has not changed its campaign positions and next week will bring a proposal to parliament for the elimination of Ragousis’ law, which is also what Samaras said he would do before the elections. "With his new friends he backed off. Let's see now whether he will vote or not," Kammenos added.
Referring to the arrival of the Troika tomorrow, Independent Greeks representative Christos Zois argued that this marks "the end of illusions for both the coalition government and those who created those illusions consistently before the elections, and for the people who were the recipients of this operation of deception.
Zois pointed out that the tri-party government was set up by accepting a programmatic framework, which his party described as a wish list as none of the points can be implemented without the approval of the Troika. "It's interesting to see for which of the points the government will fight even just for the eyes of the world", Zois concluded.
