The negotiations between Labour minister Yannis Vroutsis and the Troika representatives are at a very critical point.

Around 12.30 pm today, consultations stopped and it was agreed that they would resume at 3 pm in order for Thomsen to have time to consult with the IMF leadership and Vroutsis to get instructions from prime minister Antonis Samaras on how to handle the demands of the Troika.

According to information, the morning meeting between Vroutsis and the Thomsen group stumbled upon absolute disagreement regarding the Troika request for the removal of the surcharges on the basic wage after three years of continuous work.

Reports indicate that there is also disagreement between the IMF representative P. Thomsen and his colleagues representing the ECB and the EU.

Indicative of the fact that the negotiations are once again at a crucial point is the fact that before they decided to stop and resume at 3 pm, Thomsen went out of the room twice to contact Christine Lagarde and receive instructions.
