To help protesters in Athens, Metro and ISAP unionists decided to operate both means of transport from 3 pm until the end of the shift. By police orders for security reasons, the metro stations of Evangelismos, Syntagma, Panepistimio and Acropolis will remain closed.
Buses, trolleys, Railway and Suburban trains will remain in their stations throughout the day, while Trams will operate after 12 pm until the end of the shift.
The board of the Panhellenic Federation of Taxi Owners decided to continue their strike until 5 am on Thursday. They are asking for the removal from the multi-bill of the article that allows the rental of professional private cars with a driver by car rental agencies, travel agencies and hotels.
Ships will also remain tied to the ports throughout the country on Wednesday, as the Panhellenic Seamen's Federation (PNO) takes part in the 48-hour strike. OASTH workers will perform a work stoppage from 11 am to 4 pm.
Problems are also expected in flights due to the 4-hour work stoppage by the Federation of Civil Aviation (OSYPA) from 12 pm to 4 pm.
