SYRIZA in the lead according to new poll

A Metron Analysis poll conducted on behalf of the "Newspaper of Journalists" gives SYRIZA the lead by 2.2 points (22% against 19.8% for ND). Golden Dawn comes third (9%) followed by the Independent Greeks (6%), PASOK (5%), DIMAR (4.5%) and KKE (4.1%).

 

It is indicative that more than 8 in 10 people say that the situation is more difficult, with only 2% believing that things have improved. As for the future, 78% sees even greater deterioration and 5% improvement.

 

47% believe that the country will eventually default and 4 in 10 that the crisis will be overcome. Despite the negative image that people have on the economy, respondents believe that a return to the drachma is negative for the country (58%) and themselves (57%). However, these rates have declined significantly (11 and 12 points respectively), while the "anti-euro" block has increased (5 and 6 units respectively).
