Pharmacists are continuing their protests with a 48-hour strike announced by the Panhellenic Pharmaceutical Association for today and tomorrow, Tuesday December 18, demanding payment of September EOPYY debts and a fixed date for the payment of old debts.
Also, EOPYY-affiliated doctors will cease practicing from Monday until the payment of the Organization’s debts towards them.
On Wednesday, hospital doctors and hospital workers will take part in the 24-hour strike announced by ADEDY.
The PPS is expected to meet again Wednesday to decide on the future steps of the industry.
The Ministry of Health is trying to find a point of contact with the pharmacists in order for them to suspend their protests and return to a normal schedule.
Pharmacists are seeking the withdrawal of minister Andreas Lykourentzos’ announcement, whereby there will be a full deregulation of the working hours of pharmacies.
