PASOK president Evangelos Venizelos also contacted Samaras about the attack, expressing his full sympathy. As reported by valid information, the two men are expected to meet to discuss ways to tackle such incidents.
SYRIZA's announcement, in which the main opposition party absolutely condemns the attack on ND’s office building, moves along two axes: It refers to a dangerous escalation of dead-end blind terrorist violence and notes that in order to exploit these events the government is targeting SYRIZA and consciously cultivating a new civil war climate.
Party secretary Manolis Kefaloyiannis sought condemnation of the attack on the ND offices by all political forces. «No one can terrorize Democracy, the New Democracy, the prime minister of the country. Fortunately, there were no casualties. However, this act of violence should be condemned by all. We must condemn the outer margins and the extremes, from wherever they come, from the extreme right to the extreme left. This is what we expect from all political forces.»
SYRIZA spokesman Panos Skourletis spoke of dangerous escalation of dead-end practices of indiscriminate violence.
Speaking on NET, Skourletis made clear that these actions are totally condemnable by SYRIZA and that they «sow fear and contribute to the consolidation of a climate of terror.»

Skourletis however, attacked the government. He accused it of trying to exploit these facts in the context of «a designed tension, division and targeting of SYRIZA.»
PASOK launched an offensive against Skourletis, saying «no one is entitled to use violence for political and partisan exploitation. The ignorant and irresponsible statements of SYRIZA representative Skourletis show the danger of half-truths and ambivalences.»
