Following the strike of the Panhellenic Federation of Railways, Suburban Railways and National Railway trains will be immobilized today, Thursday. Thus, there will be no Metro between Doukissis Plakentias and the Airport.
Transport workers are seeking to sign new collective labour agreements to defend the working characteristics of their sectors.
The metro, electric railway and tram will operate normally since their employees are in conscription status.
STASY workers are denouncing the Greek government for “its autocratic decision to activate the anti-democratic measure of conscription, rather than engage in a frank dialogue on signing a new collective labour agreement and ensuring the public and social character of urban transport.” By expressing their support for the strike of all workers, steady track workers will rally tomorrow at the Piraeus station at 10.30 am and at 12:00 pm in Kotzia Square.
Railway workers have planned to gather outside the OSE building in Karolou Street.
