Analyzing the amount, Samaras said that 14.5 billion will come from the budget of the European Union and 1.8 billion will be given to Greece after the revision of participation rates in EU funds due to the reduction of the GDP.

He added that Greece has achieved the highest increase compared to all the other countries and that based on a Greek initiative, the EU will give more funds to tackle youth unemployment in the 27 member states.

He also said that there is a specific reference to Greece under which it will collect 16.3 billion after 2016, and that the money for investment in rural development and the Greek countryside will not be reduced. The money that will be given to farmers will reach a total of 3.9 billion euros.
