SYRIZA: Blind adherence to the lenders requirements

On the occasion of the new contacts with troika in Athens, SYRIZA accuses the Greek government for blindly adhering to the requirements of Greece’s lenders

On the occasion of the new contacts with troika in Athens, SYRIZA accuses the Greek government for blindly adhering to the requirements of Greece’s lenders.

According to SYRIZA, the Greek government cannot convince anyone that trades on the country's interests, "when it has already agreed to new layoffs, wage and pension cuts and sell-off of public wealth, while the failure of the memorandum program is even admitted by its authors, and society is faced with the most extreme consequences of neoliberal politics that degrades the whole of Europe.

SYRIZA also believes that troika comes once again to push for faster and tougher implementation of the memorandum and that "it sees a government and a prime minister ready to deliver even more of what they will be ask to. There is no other way of dignity and social justice than to overthrow the government and its policies," the party announcement concludes.
