The new World Economic Outlook of the International Monetary Fund predicts contraction in the Greek economy by 4.2% this year and positive growth rates at 0.6% in 2014.
The new World Economic Outlook of the International Monetary Fund predicts contraction in the Greek economy by 4.2% this year and positive growth rates at 0.6% in 2014.
IMF expects negative inflation at 0.8% this year and 0.4% in 2014, with the deficit of current transactions being drastically reduced to 0.3% of GDP this year and turning into a surplus of 0.4% next year.
It also predicts consistently high unemployment for this year and 2014, at 27% and 26% respectively.
For the eurozone, IMF points out that despite the improving economic outlook observed in recent months, indebted countries should not ease their fiscal consolidation efforts.
