The 13-year-old-girl Christina Krassa who had disappeared from her home in Spata on Sunday was found and according to the "Smile of the Child" was transferred to the Kavala Hospital for precautionary tests.
According to initial reports, Christina was found in Paggaio by rescuers while the 23-year-old Albanian was not with her, and apparently had designed for days the snatching of the little girl.
Christina had disappeared on May 26 from the area of Spata where she resided. According to the Hellenic Police she had traveled alone in Kavala from Athens by bus, to meet 23-year-old Albanian Mario Aiazi, whom she had met a year ago in Athens. The initial locating of the 13-year-old girl in Kavala came due to the activation of the mobile's card.
The Kavala police forces began the search immediately, and they located the abandoned homes where they both stayed, and the farm where they sought food and water, confirming that they are in good health.
Up to Wednesday, the Kavala police forces were operating from the ground, while on Thursday, they were aided by helicopters with thermal cameras.
