Antonis Samaras will visit Finland for two days, where Thursday and Friday will have meetings with the leadership of the country, and is expected to meet with Prime Minister Jyrki Katainen.
Samaras will speak Friday at a conference of the Centre for European culture, which will also include both the Finnish and Irish PM’s Katainen and Enda Kenny.
However, the Greek premier would rather be in the U.S. but the scheduled speech at the event of the Jewish lobby was aborted - Dimitris Avramopoulos replaced him- as the invitation from Barack Obama never came. Last hope for a call to an official visit is at some point in the summer. Otherwise, as a member of the Greek government staff said "we will not be able to hide the problem in our relations with Washington."
