Workers remain outside the Greek national television building

The images unfold until the wee hours were unprecedented. Responding to the call made mainly through the internet, thousands of people remained in the courtyard of the building, while hundreds swarmed the to two currents of Mesogeion Avenue.

Banners and flags of various factions and organizations and collectives of organization were waving alongside each other.

 

From 11 this morning and according to a statement of its workers, a protest rally will be held wherever there are ERT and ERA infrastructures. Meanwhile, officials of the public television appeal to citizens to come to Mesogeion to support them.

 

The workers protest that began Tuesday afternoon has caused political trouble in the tripartite government, as Kouvelis and Venizelos do not want the closure of public television.

 

Shortly after 3:00 in the morning the ERT president gave the order to evacuate the building as this protest is considered an occupation and those who disobey and stay inside will be arrested.
