1.5 billion euros deficit in the first semester of 2013

The revenue shortfall stood at 851 million euros - The largest gap was recorded in income, wealth and consumption tax

According to data from the state budget for the January – June period, there is a deficit of 4,991 million euros in the balance of the state budget from a deficit of 12,477 million in the corresponding period of 2012 and a target of 7.194 million.

The primary deficit stood at 1,511 million euros, reduced against the primary deficit of 3,316 million euros in 2012 and the goal for 3.877 million euros in 2013.

The height of the net revenue of the state budget amounted to 22,572 million euros, lagging by 851 million, or 3.6% against a target of 23,423 million euros for the first half 2013.

Net revenue of the regular budget amounted to 20,842 million euros, 901 million euros or 4.1% lower against the target of 21.743 million.

The greater part of the negative deviation against the set targets was recorded in June in the following categories:

-       in the personal income tax by 204 million euros, or 39.1%

-       in the POE direct taxation by 82 million euros, or 39.2%

-       in consumer taxes by 145 million euros, or 18.9%

In contrast, the over the set targets collection of property tax revenues continued in June with 38 million euros or 17.5%. The Ministry notes that the total deviation in revenues of the first semester will be covered during the coming months.

The expenditure of the state budget amounted to 27,564 million euros and is down by 3.053 million euros against a target of 30,617 million euros.
