Stournaras: I admire Schauble for his vigor

After mobility, layoffs, suspensions and curbing the public sector based on the requirements of Greece’s lenders, the SOEs take their turn in the restructuring list.

Finance Minister Yannis Stournaras is quite clear in his interview to Proto Thema:

"If we want to go ahead and finish the program with a positive sign, the next big step should be the major restructuring of public enterprises and organizations. We need to see what steps to take to make viable companies that today are damaging and burdening the Greek taxpayer - whether these measures are called privatization or downsizing-resizing them, or even mergers."
