Dijsselbloem said today that the third package for Greece in late 2014 is unavoidable
The possibility of a new package for Greece should not be surprising, Merkel said on Wednesday, in a pre-election rally of her party near Stuttgart.
She also expressed her surprise on the reactions to the statements of the German Finance Minister on the third aid package for Greece. "Each MP has all the information. What Schäuble said for Greece is known to all," Merkel said in response to the criticism from the opposition in the wake of Schäuble’s statements.
"When this program comes to an end, late 2014, early 2015, then we will look at where Greece is standing and possibly if there is a need for additional measures," she added.

Following the statements by Wolfgang Schäuble, Olli Rehn and Angela Merkel, Eurogroup president Jeroen Dijsselbloem spoke about a third aid package for Greece.
During a press conference in the Netherlands, Dijsselbloem said that the new support program for Greece is inevitable, and Europe will need to help once again with a new economic package in late 2014 when the current program will end.
Yesterday, in a pre-election rally of her party near Stuttgart, Merkel raised the possibility of a new bailout package for Greece stressing that "it should not be surprising," thus admitting that the country is going to need a new loan, a discussion started by German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schäuble.
"I cannot say today what amount could be required if necessary. We will be able to say at the middle of next year. No one is able to know," Merkel told German television station TV Sat 1 referring to a third aid package.
