Eurozone: Inflation reached 1.1% in September

It was aided by the reduction of energy prices (-0.9% versus -0.3% in August) - A year ago it stood at 2.6%

Inflation in the Eurozone decelerated significantly in September, falling to 1.1% per year from 1.3% last month, the European statistical agency Eurostat announced today publishing a first estimate for this index.

In this new slowdown of inflation contributed a strong reduction of energy prices (-0.9% versus -0.3% in August). A year ago, inflation was still at 2.6%.
