Jeroen Dijsselbloem asks Athens and Troika to work together

He said the debate on the question of the financing gap could be made in December, after the audit by Greece’s lenders

Eurogroup chief Jeroen Dijsselbloem is looking forward to a cooperation of the Greek government with the Troika in order to complete the audit of the bailout program.

Speaking from Spain, the Dutch official said: 'It is very important that the Greek government recognizes how important it is to work with the Troika in order to complete the audit of the program.'

He also said that the debate on the question of the financing gap could be made in December, after the Troika completes the audit.

He added that the Eurozone finance ministers have repeatedly stated they will support Greece even after the completion of the program, provided that the country will meet its commitments.

He also said that the Greek government must 'intensify its efforts' to work with the Troika.

Meanwhile, Athens is awaiting confirmation of the appointment with the team of the representatives of its lenders, which has initially been set for Monday, November 4.
