Samaras and Venizelos agreed on more improvements on real estate tax

Meeting between the Greek premier and the Foreign minister - New meetings on Thursday for the defense industries, Hellenic Shipyards of Skaramangas and the acceleration of the NSRF - Government official said layoffs and mobility are two different things

The meeting of the Greek Prime Minister with the Deputy Prime Minister focused on two key issues.

As Venizelos told reporters the first part of the discussion was about the visit of Foreign Minister of Russia in Athens, Sergei Lavrov, and the second about the preparation and processing of the prerequisites in view of the Troika visit next week.

On Thursday there will be two more meetings, one for the Skaramangas Shipyards and another for the implementation course of the NSRF.

As regards to the real estate tax Venizelos said there will be continuous improvement. For the reactions by some MPs he said the MPs express the anguish of their people and added that the weight lifted by PASOK since the beginning of the crisis is now shared by New Democracy too.

For the state of mobility in the public sector Venizelos reiterated his view that it should be disconnected from the layoffs. Asked about whether the program's objectives will change he simply said that 'our goals are macroeconomic and not fiscal.'

Reportedly, the Greek government welcomes the promotion of the agreement between GAZPROM and DEPA.
