‘We will be ruthless against the perpetrators,’ the Greek premier said for the murder in Neo Irakleio
‘I will not allow Democracy succumb to violence,’ PM Antonis Samaras said in an interview with Mega TV for last Friday’s murder.
‘We will be ruthless against the perpetrators,’ he stressed, adding that such actions in the conditions of crisis in Greece can act as ‘a match inside a room full of gunpowder.'
According to the Greek premier, the requirement of the people is for the expression of the ‘rigor of the State' and of a 'unifying mood.’
He also added that the issue is ‘the stability and confidence of the Greeks in their country and of the foreigners to Greece.’
Concluding, Samaras did not agree with the voices saying that Greece is on the verge of another civil war, but noted that everything must be done to not turn towards that direction.
