The private sector in Greece currently employs 1,371,450 people, from 2,800,000 pre-crisis
Two out of ten Greeks workers, that is 279,776 people, receive a wage below 500 euros per month and about 160,000 receive from 1,000 to 1,500 euros.
According to data collected by the ERGANI information system for employment in Greece, the private sector currently employs 1,371,450 people, a huge drop from the 2,800,000 which were insured in IKA before the crisis. 53.5% are men and 46.5% women.
79,76% (1,091,674 people) receive over 500 euros, 7.61% of which get 500 to 600 euros and 32.21% 1,000 to 1,200 euros.
According to ERGANI 20,24% of employees work part time or by rotation.
