Ahmet Davutoglu in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Preceded by a meeting with Samaras - It is a return visit after Venizelos’ in Ankara last July

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu is at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to meet with government Vice President and Foreign Minister Ev. Venizelos.

 

The head of the Turkish diplomacy had a meeting earlier with Prime Minister Antonis Samaras at Maximos Mansion.

 

As announced by the MoFA, the meeting lies within the framework of the official visit by Davutoglu in Greece.

 

Venizelos and Davutoglu will participate in extended talks between the two delegations and at noon they are expected to make statements to the press. Immediately after that Venizelos will host a luncheon in honor of the Turkish Foreign Minister.

 

According to diplomatic sources, this is a rewarding visit by Davutoglu to Greece after the last visit of Venizelos in Ankara in July.

 

The agenda of the talks between the two men will include bilateral and regional issues, and preparation for the next session of the Supreme Council for Cooperation between Greece and Turkey. The former was held on March 4, 2013 in Istanbul, under the chairmanship of Prime Ministers, including Ministers from both countries.
